Join Teen Library Advisors! And - Share your creative writing and art!
Next Meetings: Monday, April 12, 7-8 p.m. OR Tuesday, April 13, 4-5 p.m.
Students in grades 7-12 are invited to make Teen Central even better! Our new Teen Library Advisors group is working on new ideas. Come share the excitement!
At their first meeting, they suggested a Library-generated Teen Literary Magazine. Presto! We are now proudly accepting original writing and art from middle and high school students, to be published here as soon as we get enough. So drop off your essays, poems, sketches, stories, cartoons at the Reference Desk, attention Sue Grotyohann, or email them to sgrot(at)monroetwplibrary.org! Imagine – our own Teen Zine!

Vote in the Teens' Top Ten!

What is the Teens' Top Ten? Teens' Top Ten is a "teen choice" list, where teens nominate and choose their favorite books of the previous year! Books are nominated by members of teen book groups in fifteen school and public libraries around the country. Nominations are posted during National Library Week, and teens across the country vote on their favorite titles each year. Readers ages twelve (12) to eighteen (18) can vote right here, online, anytime between Aug. 24 and Sept. 18, 2009.
Winners will be announced in a webcast featuring WWE Superstars and Divas at www.ala.org/teenstopten during Teen Read Week, Oct. 18-24.
